Luna Trinity A-Style Mandolin Reviews 5

I've been looking around for a decent sounding mandolin to keep around the house for demos. The Trinity A-style by Luna is a pretty nice pick. Luna is a newer company I'd say within the past 3-5 years.

My local store just got in the Trinity. I quickly wrote it off because of it's weirder 'trendy' looks, but sure if enough looks were deceiving, this things sounds great! I picked it up for $299

This instrument is all maple. This gives it a nice 'snap' sound that will cut, but it also has a nice bottom end to it. The tuners have sort of a faux pearl tortoise head that is attractive. The satin finish is thin, so the instrument sort of 'comes alive' in it's environment vs. a stale instrument with a ton of finish globbed on.

None. This instrument could hang with some of the mandolins twice it's price.

Maple body and neck. Satin 3-tone sunburst finish. The hardware is solid. I sort of think it's the same hardware that is on every single other cheaper mandolin, but hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Luna should have no problem making their way into the instrument world with quality like this!
